Trevor Siemian had been on the Tennessee roster for four days when he took the field in the fourth quarter Friday night in Atlanta. He led an 12-play, 56-yard drive that ended with Joey Slye’s 23-yard field goal at the 9:03 mark, and the Titans walked out of Mercedes-Benz Stadium with a 23-20 win over the Atlanta Falcons.
Cam Ward, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, played three series and went 2 of 7 for 42 yards with a passer rating of 52.1 — the lowest of Tennessee’s three quarterbacks on the night. Brandon Allen, working behind Ward, went 11 of 14 for 119 yards with a touchdown pass to tight end Gunnar Helm and posted a 96.1 rating. Ward’s sharpest throw came on the opening drive, a 35-yard completion to Elic Ayomanor. A deep shot to Van Jefferson would have been another big gain; Jefferson dropped it.
Atlanta fell to 0-2 in the preseason with Michael Penix Jr. and Kirk Cousins watching from the sideline for the second straight week. Easton Stick, working to secure the No. 3 quarterback job, went 19 of 32 for 173 yards with a touchdown and the interception that opened the scoring. Cornerback Kendell Brooks read Stick’s pass intended for Nick Nash, stepped in front of it, and returned it 53 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter. The Falcons scored 17 unanswered points in the third quarter to tie it at 20, but Siemian’s drive denied them a win.

Tennessee wrapped up a nine-night road stretch — which included joint practices and a 29-7 preseason loss at Tampa Bay the week before — at 1-1 heading into a home finale against the Vikings at Nissan Stadium. The Falcons, who had not put Penix or Cousins in a live game situation across two preseason nights, traveled to Dallas for their third and final road preseason game still searching for their first win of the exhibition slate.
