Five hours on a tarmac in Wisconsin, a 10-point deficit at halftime, and a running back with no guarantee of playing. The Green Bay Packers survived all three to beat the Arizona Cardinals 27-23 at State Farm Stadium on October 19, 2025, picking up their first road win of the 2025 NFL season.
Josh Jacobs, listed as a game-time decision due to a calf injury, scored on a 7-yard rush in the third quarter to tie the game and punched in the winner on a 1-yard run with 1:50 remaining. Micah Parsons, in his first season with Green Bay after the Packers acquired him from the Dallas Cowboys in a late-summer blockbuster trade, posted three sacks, four tackles for loss, and five quarterback hurries against Jacoby Brissett, who was starting in place of foot-injured Kyler Murray.
Brissett threw for 279 yards, two touchdowns, and a 110.8 passer rating while Arizona outgained Green Bay 330 yards to 262 and held possession for more than eight minutes longer. A failed fourth-and-one quarterback sneak by Brissett with 5:58 left handed the Packers the ball at the Arizona 48-yard line and, ultimately, the game. It was the Cardinals’ fifth consecutive loss, each decided by four points or fewer.
