Jordan Davis fell onstage in Belfast on 20 February 2026, mid-show, in front of ten thousand people at the SSE Arena. He caught himself on both arms, rolled through it, and was back on his feet within seconds. That same afternoon, he had told RTÉ he was afraid of heights.

The show carried on. Davis posted the video himself the following morning.

“Other than this video, last night in Belfast was awesome.”

What Happened at the SSE Arena Belfast

Davis was standing behind his opener, Solon Holt, who had the microphone and was leading the Belfast crowd through a cover of The Killers’ Mr. Brightside. Davis, in a button-down shirt and jeans, was pumping his fist when he lost his balance, fell forward, and landed on both arms.

The fall came 16 songs into a 20-song set, during a cover medley Davis had included throughout the tour. Mr. Brightside closed it. He came away unhurt, the show carried on, and four more songs followed before the night ended, including Buy Dirt, his 2022 CMA Song of the Year-winning track. The SSE Arena Belfast called it “an incredible show” on social media.

He Put the Video Up Himself

Davis posted the clip to Instagram the morning after the Belfast show with the caption: “Other than this video, last night in Belfast was awesome.”

Fellow country artists were quick to respond:

  • Ernest replied with two words: “Thoughts and prayers”
  • Ashley Cooke commented: “Stumblin Davis”
  • Davis replied to Cooke with a string of laughing emojis

Videos of the moment spread on TikTok. One fan wrote: “That invisible rug got ya — it’s OK, it happens to the best of us.” Another wrote: “Someone help him up.” One more added: “I think we’re FALLIN for you.”

Of All the Songs to Fall Over To

Davis had described the medley as a set of songs he loved growing up.

In the UK, Mr. Brightside has never really left. According to Guinness World Records, the song holds the record for the longest stay on the UK Singles Chart by any group, sitting at more than 416 weeks as of July 2024, a figure that had climbed past 485 weeks by late 2025. It remains the biggest single in UK chart history never to have reached number one. Around 1.8 million people stream it in the UK every week.

Davis grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana. He fell over covering it in the country that has kept it in the charts for over two decades.

Belfast, 2024 vs 2026

That fall at the SSE Arena came on what was, by some distance, the biggest night of Davis’s career in Northern Ireland. Two years before, he had played Belfast at the Ulster Hall. Both nights sold out almost immediately when they went on sale, with a second date added to meet demand.

He returned in 2026 to a venue ten times the size. In the months before the tour, his single I Ain’t Sayin’ had spent eight weeks at number one on the UK Country Radio Airplay Chart, the longest run any single has held at that position according to MusicRow. Eight weeks at number one is how a sold-out Ulster Hall becomes a sold-out SSE Arena two years later.

The Ain’t Enough Road European Tour

Belfast opened an eight-date run across the UK and Europe. Davis and his special guests, Solon Holt and Avery Anna, played Glasgow, two nights in Manchester, London at the OVO Arena Wembley, Birmingham, Zurich, and Berlin, as part of what MCA Nashville described as his biggest international headline tour to date.

He went on to play Australia and New Zealand as a headline act for the first time, with Tucker Wetmore, Vincent Mason, and Rachel Fahim in support.

Before the show ended, the Belfast crowd was singing Buy Dirt back at him. Other than the video, Belfast had been awesome.
