The New England Patriots beat the Cincinnati Bengals 26–20 at Paycor Stadium on November 23, 2025 — their ninth straight win and the one that made them the first team in the NFL to reach 10 victories that season. They did it without the left side of their offensive line for most of the afternoon: Jared Wilson left on the opening drive with a high ankle sprain, Will Campbell followed in the third quarter with a sprained MCL. Drake Maye threw for 294 yards behind the replacement unit anyway, Marcus Jones returned an interception 33 yards for a score, and Andres Borregales converted all four of his field goal attempts, including the 52-yarder with 1:51 left that closed it out.

Ja’Marr Chase was not injured. He served a one-game suspension for spitting on Pittsburgh’s Jalen Ramsey in Week 11. Mitchell Tinsley started in his place.
Defensive Stats — Tackles, Sacks and Interceptions
McPherson field goals: 54 yds (Q1, 6:36) · 63 yds (Q2, 0:00) — the 63-yarder was the first field goal of 60 or more yards in Bengals franchise history. The previous team record was McPherson’s own 58-yarder from 2021. McPherson had a kick that would have been an NFL-record 67 yards at Green Bay on October 12, but a LaFleur timeout before the snap nullified it.

The 26–20 win put New England at 10–2 with a 2.5-game lead in the AFC East and half a game ahead of Denver for the top seed in the AFC, at that point in the 2025 season. For Cincinnati, it was the eighth loss in nine games since Joe Burrow’s turf toe injury in Week 2 against Jacksonville — a run from which the Bengals never recovered. Burrow returned for their Thanksgiving night game at Baltimore the following week, but the 2025 season was already beyond repair for Cincinnati by then.
