At Allegiant Stadium, DaVon Hamilton put his hands up and swatted Geno Smith’s 2-point conversion attempt into the turf with 16 seconds left in overtime. The 335-pound nose tackle batted it before it reached the end zone, and Jacksonville held on for a 30-29 win. Smith had admitted afterward that Tyler Lockett was wide open.
The November 2 game between the Jaguars and Raiders had six lead changes across the fourth quarter and overtime. Cam Little broke Justin Tucker’s 66-yard field goal record with a 68-yarder at the end of the first half — the longest in NFL history. Brock Bowers, back from a three-game knee absence, caught 12 passes for 127 yards and three touchdowns. Smith threw four touchdown passes. Trevor Lawrence, sick throughout and intercepted in the end zone in the first quarter, scored twice on the ground — including the winning 1-yard sneak with 3:24 left in overtime.

Bowers finished with more receiving yards than the entire Las Vegas rushing attack, and his 93.6 PFF grade was the highest by any player on either side of the ball. Smith’s four-touchdown, one-interception line would have been enough to win most games. On a day when Las Vegas held possession for less than 27 minutes and converted just seven of ten third downs, Geno Smith kept it close — right to the final snap.
What ended it wasn’t a turnover or a penalty. It was Hamilton’s two hands getting high enough, fast enough, on a play that Smith said gave them the look they wanted. Jacksonville went to 5-3. Las Vegas dropped to 2-6, having lost six of their previous seven games in the 2025 season.
