New York Giants vs New Orleans Saints Match Player Stats (Oct 5, 2025)

Five turnovers against zero. That margin, not the yardage totals, settled what was otherwise a competitive football game at Caesars Superdome on October 5, 2025. The New York Giants led 14-3 through the first half of the second quarter, then lost the ball on five straight possessions — three fumbles and two Jaxson Dart interceptions, both caught by Kool-Aid McKinstry in the final period. Safety Jordan Howden scooped up a Cam Skattebo fumble at the Saints’ 14-yard line and sprinted 86 yards untouched for the go-ahead score, and New Orleans held on for a 26-14 win that gave rookie head coach Kellen Moore his first NFL victory.

New York out-rushed New Orleans 136 to 88 yards, held the ball for nearly four additional minutes, and finished with three more total yards on the day. The Giants ran 70 offensive plays to the Saints’ 62 and converted three of five fourth-down attempts. None of it was enough. New Orleans committed zero turnovers and forced five, and in the NFL, that gap rarely closes regardless of what every other number on the stat sheet reads.
