Notable Absences

Seattle played without CB Devon Witherspoon, S Julian Love, S Nick Emmanwori, and RB Zach Charbonnet. FB Robbie Ouzts left in the first half with an ankle injury and did not return. Saints safety Justin Reid was evaluated for a concussion during the first half but cleared and returned to play.

The 38 points Seattle put up in the first half were the most New Orleans had conceded in a single half since giving up 38 in the second half of a 62-7 loss to Atlanta in September 1973. Spencer Rattler’s 28-of-39, 218-yard afternoon dropped his career record as an NFL starter to 0-9, and the Saints’ losing streak stretched to seven consecutive games dating to the previous season. Sam Darnold needed 18 dropbacks to finish with the second-highest passer rating in a single game in Seahawks franchise history. Seattle moved to 2-1.
