The box score alone tells you the story of where these two franchises stood through five weeks of the 2025 NFL season. Indianapolis finished 40-6 with a perfect red zone record, four sacks, two interceptions, and a blocked punt, while holding Las Vegas to six points despite the Raiders controlling possession for nearly seven minutes more than the Colts. For the Raiders, the 40-game sack streak ending was a symbol of how completely their pass rush was neutralised. Geno Smith’s eighth and ninth interceptions of the season compounded an already difficult afternoon. The Colts moved to 4-1 with Jones completing passes at an adjusted rate above 80 percent and Taylor finding the end zone three more times in what became one of Indianapolis’s most dominant home performances in over a decade.
