Spencer Shrader kicked a 45-yard field goal on the final play of regulation to give the Indianapolis Colts a 29-28 win over the Denver Broncos at Lucas Oil Stadium on September 14, 2025. The attempt only came after a leverage penalty on Eyioma Uwazurike voided Shrader’s initial 60-yard miss and moved the ball 15 yards closer with no time remaining. Denver had led 28-20 entering the fourth quarter before a Bo Nix interception in scoring range, a Wil Lutz field goal off the right upright, a J.K. Dobbins delay of game, and the Uwazurike penalty collectively handed Indianapolis the result. The complete player stats and box score from the Week 2 matchup are below.

The win moved Indianapolis to 2-0 for the first time since 2009. Jonathan Taylor’s 165-yard performance was his 25th career 100-yard game, lifting him past Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson into second place on the Colts’ all-time list. Shrader converted all five field goal attempts on the day, and for the second consecutive week Indianapolis went without a punt, the first time any team had done so in the opening two games of a season in Super Bowl era history.
